中間発表とプロポーザルなど【Mid-term seminars and proposals and so on】

毎年やっているのですが、今年もなんとか、学生の研究発表会を行うことができました。6人に増えた学生は、それぞれ自立して、なんとかしっかりやってくれています。えらいえらい。 発表会では、M2の二人、M1の二人、B4の一人が発表しました。もう一人のM2は海外なので、そのうちやってもらう予定です。M2の二人は中間発表ということで、がんばってこれまでの成果を発表しました。もちろんまだまだ中途半端なデータではあるのですが、これからしっかりまとめてくれることでしょう。M1の二人はこれからやりたいことを話してくれました。B4もそうです。

テーマは大きくわけて三つです。一つは最近がんばっているザンビア、もう一つは土壌微生物関係、そして、日本の酪農関係です。テーマが幅広くなってしまった分、繰り返しになりますが、学生が自立できるかが試されている、、、というか私の教育技術が試されているのだとあらためて思いました、、、。

Finally, this year's mid-term and proposal seminars were held for our team. The number of students has increased to 6 and they are doing very well, independently, almost. Good job.

Two master's 2nd year, one master's 1st year and one bachelor student have presented. Another one is currently in overseas so she'll work on this later on. The two master's 2nd year students did mid-term seminars so they talked about how their research is going over the last one year. Others have talked about what they want to do in the next 1 year.

There were three big sections/themes for their talks. One was Zambian soils, which we have been heavily working on. Another one was soil microbiology. Then one student talked about Japanese dairy farming systems. Our team has covered wide range of scientific area thus students ability have to improve (or more importantly, my ability to educate students).
