土壌肥料学会【Japanese Society of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition, annual conference at Nagoya】

I have been to Nagoya University last week to attend an annual conference of Japanese Society of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition. I chaired a part of the oral sessions also presented the data from my most recent study, looking at N₂O emissions and denitrification mRNA levels. I really enjoyed catching up with other scientists, particularly, the ones from NIAES where I worked until December last year. I was also impressed by many scientists who work in the area in radioactive contamination of soils in Fukushima.

名古屋大学で土壌肥料学会でした。日本では、私はこの学会をメインでやっているというか、知っている人が一番多い学会でもあるので楽しかったです。座長を務めたり、最新の未発表データをプレゼンしたりしてきました。温室効果ガスと微生物のRNAに関する研究です。他大学や研究所の方たち、特に前働いていた農環研の研究者たちと交流出来たのはうれしかったです。今年はやっぱり福島等の土壌汚染に関するポスターやセッションを数多く見受けました。偉いですね。ぜひ結果を出してもらいたいものです。
