Returned from Lincoln, New Zealand [ニュージーランドに行ってきました]

For the last 8 days or so, I have been visiting Lincoln University, where I have studied for 7 years. The main purpose of the visit was to catch up with my supervisors and to organize a collaborative research between my lab and their teams. I could see that Lincoln University is still recovering from the earthquake but at the same time, scientists at Lincoln are doing fine and energetic as ever.

Lincoln University is a relatively small University when compared to Hokkaido University but we have many similarities. Both Universities started as agricultural colleges and then progressively grew as Universities globally recognized. ‘Agriculture’ is definitely the strength for both Universities and simply because I am in the research faculty of agriculture, I am hoping for the stronger connections between Hokkaido and Lincoln.

Whenever I visit New Zealand, I love its sky and green pasture. It was the beginning of winter season over there and we had some beautiful frosty mornings.
