For Japanese students who want to study abroad, there are actually a lot of opportunities. In our University, one way is to jump on a program called “Nitobe College”. Students in Nitobe College will receive full supports to study abroad. Studying abroad is still possible without enrolling Nitobe College. For undergraduate students, probably 3rd year is the best time to study abroad.

There are many things students need to do before studying abroad. One important thing is that students have to know what they want to do in overseas. The idea can be vague. However, think about what sort of jobs you want to do in future and try to link your dreams/goals with your plan to study abroad.

Once you have the concrete ideas about your goals, contact somebody who has experienced in guiding you to study in an oversea University. Then it is possible to find appropriate University from the list of Universities that have MOU with Hokkaido University.
