東京へ 【To Tokyo】

出張で東京へ行っていました。結構雨が降り続いていて、札幌のような涼しさも無くやや不快でしたが、出張そのものは非常に実りのあるものでした。今回の出張のテーマは「アフリカ」です。私たちの研究室では、以前からアフリカを対象としたプロジェクトをいろいろとやっているのですが、いつもアフリカに行けるわけでもないので、こうして東京に来ていろいろな方と打ち合わせをしたりしながら、きちんとプロジェクトが進むように動いているわけです。細かい打ち合わせ内容は内緒ですが、もちろんアフリカの農業に関連したとても科学的な打ち合わせとなりました。

Been to Tokyo for work. It has been raining and the temperature was not quite cool like here in Sapporo but the trip has been really successful. The theme of the trip could be Africa. Our team has been running a few projects in relation to Africa but the problem is Africa is so far away. Thus, we often come to Tokyo to meet with several key people to efficiently run the projects. Well, we talked about future developments in African agriculture, and this could be the only thing I can announce to the readers, so far.
